Hall’s Chophouse is becoming a regular destination when I visit Charleston. As a solo traveler, I am often given less priority when dining out. Hall’s, however, has graciously welcomed me on two occasions and provided attentive, top-shelf service. Manager Lorenzo Esquivel is a wonderful ambassador for Hall’s, genuine and professional. My server, Julie, and Morgan, who oversaw the dining room, were equally caring and persisted in making sure my meal was prepared accurately. Mr. Hall provided an unexpected hazelnut dessert cocktail - a generous gesture and a delicious ending to my meal. While the burrata salad, NY strip steak and mushroom risotto were prepared to perfection, it is the kindness that Mr. Hall, Lorenzo, Morgan and Julie extended to me that will bring me back to Hall’s when I return to Charleston in the spring.

Me and the hubby went there for the first time. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They take so much care of you. The food is wonderful as well. I had the Bison with the mushroom risotto and it was to die for. Practically licked the plate clean! I will definitely be coming back the next time I am in Charleston. Felt like a queen eating there.

I made a reservation for this place along with other restaurants on King St a month ago. We showed up at 9:00 to hear the band. The snotty girl at the front told us we can't have the table if we are not eating. She said there was no band, only a DJ even though it was advertised for this female singer. She said if she was to seat us we would have to get up and leave to an outside table if they were to seat someone for dinner. This was 9:00 at night. I booked this place for a girls trip and am so disappointed. What's great is we went to Republic and was welcomed by Tye and listened to a awesome band!! Do better prohibition, you're nothing special.

We never got through the door! We had reservations and the girl at the door was extremely rude. We made the reservations over 1 month to watch a singer, and then the girl said only DJ on Thursday. After we left, she was laughing at us. Never will we go back there!

Our first time dining here and the food was exceptional. The oysters were so fresh and large - absolutely delicious. The drinks were delightful, and the scallop dish was unique and flavorful. Would love to dine here again if we are ever back in town.

Basic kitchen is one of my favourite restaurants in Charleston and has become one of the restaurants I go to often. I have been several times recently, the service is excellent, food is healthy and tasty. I loved the kombucha and the naughty burger. The staff is lovely and constantly deliver top notch customer service, the last time we were there Emilia had a lovely detail with my kid. In another visit, the English guy (sorry I forgot the name) was very friendly and made sure we were taken care off while having lunch there. I would advice to book in advance if you are planning to visit Basic Kitchen, there are a few times I waited for 20 mins to get a table. I will definitely be back and can't recommend it enough to friends.

the restaurant looks great, but food was horrible. Ordered shrimp and it tasted like pure salt. The waitress said even if we order something else, it would taste this salty. So, we ordered something else. It was mostly vegetables, but just bunch of veggies with so much cheese on top SOAKED in oil and spices. I wouldn't pay that much money for such a horrible food.

I was so impressed with our Bartender AND Server ( we ate at the bar ) with Capers. He was efficient, engaging and informative. We really enjoyed our experience at Ritual because if him! And THEN on our way out we poked our head into Champagne and Caviare. Wow! Not only a spectacular place but we were so lucky to meet Lydia. She was a delight. Oh and you have the nicest ladies room I have ever visited! .

Another homerun catering order from Holey City Bagels. Whenever family is in town, or we just want a lazy weekend breakfast in bed, Sunday morning bagels from Holey City is my go-to for delicious, NY style bagels with all the trimmings. I'm so grateful the ordering process is so easy and we appreciate the little things included. The bagels are always fresh, the cream cheese fixings are always delicious and the service is always amazing. There may be other places in Mount Pleasant to get bagels, but Holey City Bagels is by far the best bagels you're gonna get here in Charleston. They even deliver!!!!
